The city of Le Havre offers free access to all its museums for those under 26 !

In 2023, the Urban Community, which is labeled Country of Art and History, voted to make all its guided tours and activities free for all students. In total, more than 1,500 proposals are scheduled throughout the year, to provide you with support in discovering local heritage and its history.

Exhibition venues

Fittingly located in the former Irish Ferries terminal, LH Port Center is a venue dedicated to the discovery of port activities.   

This venue is like a laboratory designed to help visitors improve their understanding of the industrial and port activities through participatory events and meetings in a fun a friendly environment.

LH Port Center hosts permanent and temporary exhibitions, educational events, citizen meetings, and conferences, and also organises guided tours of the port. These various initiatives are designed to help visitors have a better understanding of the city and port industrial activities and help them become enlightened and involved citizens.

  • Open to all citizens, inhabitants, and tourists on weekends and on Wednesdays during the school holidays, from 2 pm to 6 pm. Admission fee : 2 € / Free admission for visitors under 26 and for everyone on the first Saturday of each month.

Living at the pace of the theatre it is housed in, Le Carré is an exhibition venue you must visit ! 

Open from September to May, Le Carré welcomes six to eight exhibitions of up-and-coming and well-established painters, photographers, and graphic designers whose works are resolutely inspired by Le Havre. 

The “7²s” have also taken place at Le Carré for over two years. Seven times a year, these happy hour meetings will help you and your friends discover atypical art genres, through events based on dance, public reading, music, etc.  

Except for drinks at the bar, the “7²s” are free and open to all.

Inaugurated late 2016 by Le Havre Seine Métropole and the City of Le Havre to replace the old Docks Café, Le Carré des Docks is a brand new state-of-the art venue which contributes to the urban development of the area surrounding the basins.
