Who better than Nathalie A. Cabrol to provide a lively and educational overview of one of humanity's most profund questions : are we alone in the Universe ?

At this open-air conference, the American scientific director of the Carl Sagan Research Centre of the SETI Institute (Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence) will discuss the exploration of our solar system, the search for exoplanets, the search for extraterrestrial signals and the types of civilisations and life we hope to find there. She will explain why, with 300 million exoplanets in the habitable zone of our galawy, its is a "statistical aberration" to think that we are alone.

As in her last book, A l'aube de nouveaux horizons (Seuil, 2023), Nathalie A. Cabrol will take us along in the wake of the Christopher Columbus of the modern era : the interplanetary missions that set out the ewplore the other worlds of the Solar System and the super-powerful space telescopes charged with scrutinishing the farthest reaches of the Universe.

The talk will be followed by an interview and book signing.
