ENSM STRENGTHENS ITS INTERNATIONAL STRATEGY

As part of its international strategy, ENSM successfully applied for the Erasmus + Charter for Higher Education in 2018, and renewed its application in December 2020 for the 2021-2027 period. ENSM Le Havre is also welcoming its new Head of International Relations : Gersende Le Dimna.

ENSM AND ERASMUS +

Within the frame of the Erasmus + programme, incoming and outgoing exchanges with other institutions concern :

  • Students from selected courses
  • Teachers providing education in all fields, in initial training and continuous training
  • Professors carrying out projects and research on shared themes
  • Administrative staff.

By including internships abroad in its scope, Erasmus + allows all ENSM students to benefit from the programme.


By joining the programme, ENSM's objectives are :

  • To improve the learning of foreign languages, the development of intercultural skills, and the exchange of teachers
  • The exchange of students in training
  • To share and benefit from the expertise of each partner for teaching and research
  • To jointly participate in training or research calls for projects
  • The pooling of educational resources and tools
  • The issuance of double degrees
  • The professional and personal development of teachers.

A new Head of International Relations

ersende Le Dimna – law teacher at ENSM Le Havre – is the new Head of International Relations. Following a DEA in Comparative Law from La Sorbonne and a MBA in Maritime Law from the University of Le Havre, Gersende Le Dimna started teaching at ENSM as Head of the Human Sciences Department, before becoming supervisor of the DESMM students' theses.

She led the ERASMUS Skillsea projects designed to improve the employability of sailors, and took part in the SEAWING (development of a kite sail to propel cargo ships) and Passion and Self-protection (BlueDome) research and development projects.


Gersende Le Dimna is now in charge of developing partnerships with national and international academic players for teacher and student exchanges, and collaborations with other institutions for dual degrees.
