Planned over three years, the work undertaken as part of the Recovery Plan will enable the establishment to provide a response to the energy performance issues of its real estate assets and thus to pursue eco-responsible development.

Repair and insulation of all roofs on the Lebon site

In parallel with the work enabling, in partnership with the City of Le Havre, the Le Havre Seine Métropole Urban Community and the Normandy Region, the requalification of the Lebon site, the university will soon work on the repair and insulation of the site's roofs.

Nearly 9,025 m2 of roof will be rehabilitated from June 2021 to resolve significant infiltration problems and improve the energy performance of the Lebon site's real estate assets.

Led by the Premises Operations Department at the end of a substantial study phase, the project will allow three years to meet the University's ambition to improve the living conditions of the whole of its university community while rationalizing the costs of managing its real estate portfolio over the long term.

A first action in favor of the establishment’s energy and environmental transition strategy

The approach initiated as well as the funds raised as part of the Recovery Plan support the energy and environmental transition strategy supported by the University of Le Havre Normandy which is based on three axes of development: modernization of installations, energy renovation and energy development renewable. Thus, for example, the installation of photovoltaic panels on the roofs of buildings is already planned for 2023 as part of partnership projects.
