What are you doing on the TJV ?

I am participating in the student regatta organized as part of the Transat Jacques Vabre. I'm part of a crew of 5 hydros (ENSM students), who all have a different level of sailing : some of them have practiced for the first time in September, while I've already had the opportunity to sail but only on small dinghies.
I had already participated in this type of regatta near Cherbourg, it's great that the school organizes it here too, it will help to boost the region in this field.
The race will take place on Thursday, November 4, and will consist of a course in the Eure basin : buoys will be set up so that the different crews can sail around them. A total of 16 student crews will participate on J80 type boats, lent by the Société des Régates and the SNPH, the sailing clubs of Le Havre.

What course of study are you following ? Why did you choose this school/university ?

I am currently in my 4th year of the multipurpose course (deck + machine) at ENSM. I started my studies at the ENSM in Marseille and have just arrived in Le Havre. I am preparing for a title of seagoing engineer, multipurpose officer of the merchant navy.

3) What do you think of Le Havre ?

Coming from Brest and after several years spent in Marseille, I am pleasantly surprised by the discovery of the city of Le Havre : it is a very dynamic environment for students, in terms of atmosphere, activities and events offered, cultural life... I have the impression that it is a city that wants to promote its students, and that is great !
