🎉 Les Grandes Voiles du Havre 2025: a historic and festive event

From July 4th to 7th 2025, the city will host Les Grandes Voiles du Havre on the Bassins de l'Eure and Paul Vatine, in the heart of the campus. Le Havre will be the starting point for The Tall Ships Race, a nautical race that brings together some of the world's greatest sailing ships, including the Bélém and Captain Miranda. The ships will set sail for Dunkirk (France), Aberdeen (Scotland), Kristiansand (Norway) and Esbjerg (Denmark).

On this occasion, the captains open the doors of their sailing ships.

🙌 An eagerly awaited return after the success of 2017

In 2017, 400,000 visitors came to admire the ships. In 2025, the program will combine nautical demonstrations, concerts, festive events, ship visits and meetings with the crews.

🌊 A lively maritime village

The festivities begin on July 3rd. Visitors to the maritime village can enjoy three themed areas:

  • La Guinguette des Grandes Voiles: a convivial place to relax around acoustic concerts and a warm atmosphere.
  • Le Port des Grandes Voiles: an immersive space inspired by the port world, featuring exhibitions, street food and DJ sets.
  • L'Escale au Havre: a celebration of the local maritime heritage, with demonstrations, events and discoveries.

Enjoy this popular festival by taking part in the concerts, the parade of crews and the grand parade of ships on July 7th.

👉 A unique experience for students too!

Nearly 100 local students, aged between 18 and 25, will have the chance to travel on these tall ships when they leave Le Havre on July 7th, 2025, to sail to Denmark. An exceptional opportunity to learn the rudiments of navigation and enjoy an immersive experience aboard a legendary vessel.

Les Grandes Voiles du Havre 2025 is sure to be the highlight of the summer!
