Let's talk wind!

As part of the “The sea in debate” day organized by the National Commission for Public Debate (CNDP) on January 18, 2024 at the Carré des Docks, students from the National School of Security and Administration of the Sea (ENSAM) organized an exchange dedicated to students to address the subject of offshore wind power.

Offshore wind power is a renewable energy which should allow France to achieve its objectives in terms of ecological transition, in particular by producing 40% of electricity from renewable sources by 2030. To do this, debates are organized at national level in order to identify in particular the location and characteristics of future wind farms.

In this context, student maritime affairs administrators from the School of Maritime Affairs Administration, based in Le Havre since 2021, are organizing a meeting for students on offshore wind power on January 18 at the Cité Numérique in Le Havre, called “Parlons vent!” ". This friendly afternoon will revolve around a round table followed by participatory workshops which will allow them to discuss the subject of maritime planning in a good mood and in a fun way.

Ahead of January 18, a communication campaign was launched, particularly on social networks (Instagram and LinkedIn) in order to mobilize students from Le Havre (and Normandy). Every week, an interview with an expert or actor from the maritime world questioned about offshore wind power is published so that everyone can express themselves. This is the objective of Parlons vent! : form an opinion and make your voice heard all the more for the students who are the actors of today and tomorrow.
